My 11 year old and I stayed up until 3:30 am last night talking about fashion and her style. Over the last few months she’s slowly been shifting from boy pants, cat tees, and baseball hats to more feminine pieces. She explained what sort of things she wanted, we pulled up pictures. I pulled out old fashion books I have and the style she gravitates towards is French chic. This is sooo different from her older sister who has 90s mom and 80s librarian looks locked down 😂 That being said, she definitely has the right mom for this challenge. We are going to put together a capsule wardrobe with new and thrifted pieces. She got her first piece last when I dug through my wardrobe to find a trench coat that I never wear. So we have decided on loafers, trousers, midi skirts, blazers, button downs, sweaters, boots, scarves, hats, and purses, and vintage jewellery. The colour palette she wants is brown, black, white, grey, navy, with some green, purple, and maybe red.
