I’ve never considered myself to be a fashion influencer. If anything, my work in fashion and years of experience as a model have made me a bit utilitarian — I’m used to showing up to a set and having to sell whatever’s been picked out for me with a smile and happy body-language. So when it comes to personal dressing — my style reflects that practicality with effortless yet modern clean lines, unfussiness and ease met with trims of leather and lace reminiscent of a gal raised in the south with big-city dreams.
For investment pieces, I concentrate first on classics that won’t go out of style after just a season, and secondly on durability in fabrics and composition. The price on this cami was initially a little eye-watering, but it’s stepped in during so many fashion pinches over the years. And for the shoes — simply put, patent leather is just hard to ruin. Mix in with a pair of more of-the-moment faux leather pants right at $100, and I think we’re set for date night. Well, we’re eating dinner and planning our rehearsal dinner food with the chef — that counts as a date these days, right?
Back to my opening point — I’ve ran from sharing my own fashion. But after thousands of messages and DMs — maybe you’re here because you can relate to this sense of style. And maybe what I’ve learned over the years will help you build an elevated yet practical closet you love too. I’m trying out @liketoknow.it so if you already have the app you can screenshot this photo to shop this look, or copy and paste this link into your browser to shop. If you guys love it or if this resonates with you, please let me know — and if no one likes it then I’ll know to stop and get back to everything else I have planned. Have any questions?
