Day 7: Water & Your Cut Flower Garden💦

Consistent watering is key to helping your zinnias (and entire garden) flourish.

That’s why I recommend using a drip system or soaker hose—you can hook them up to a timer (or your sprinkler system) and practically forget about it!

As a self proclaimed lazy garden girl I have to say this has been one of the smartest thingsI have done!

Did I procrastinate setting it all up? Yes…only because I thought it would be hard & honestly I wish I would have done it sooner. It wasn’t that hard!

And my motto is if you have to hire it out to make it work…do it!🫶🏼

The beauty of zinnias? They’re so versatile, you can plant them just about anywhere—no matter how much (or little) space you have!

1. 🪴Pots & Containers

Not a lot of space? Zinnias do well in pots!!! Opt for a container or compact variety.
Perfect for patios, balconies, and small outdoor nooks.

2.🌱Raised Beds

Easier to control soil quality and drainage.
Helps with weed management and can be kinder on your back!

3. 🌸In-Ground

If you’ve got the space, zinnias will happily spread out and bloom in your garden beds.

Zinnias are possible for all spaces…just one of the many reasons why I love them!!❤️

I could seriously talk about these blooms for hours—zinnias are almost foolproof, the butterflies love them 🦋, they require very little effort & time, and they are definitely“lazy girl approved.”

They have a high germination (growing) rate and come in endless varieties, so you’ll quickly find a favorite (or ten)!

Best of all, there’s just something magical about growing flowers yourself and sharing that joy with others. I could go on and on!!!🙌🏻
