Shelf styling rules I almost always follow ⬇️ 1. Repeat in diagonals: this applies to a lot of different items like picture frames, finishes like gold or brass, books, and even plants/stems. I tend to repeat, but I don’t love when those items are stacked directly on top of each other so I try to put these items in diagonals. I find that this creates interest and keeps things looking balanced. 2. Layer: I tend to do this the most with my art. Instead of just having a picture frame in a shelf by itself. Layer it with a book stack and a plant, or find a smaller framer that fits in front of it. You can even put it on a easel like I did if the frame is on the smaller side. Add greenery: it doesn’t matter what season it is, I almost always have some sort of greenery in my shelves. I find that it adds texture and life (regardless of whether it is actually alive or not) And last but not least, less is more. You don’t want your shelves to feel cluttered, so make sure to leave some white space. LTKStyleTip LTKVideo LTKHome
