We live in a culture where “bigger is better” and that was an ideal that I used to cling to…HARD! I “needed” the space, I “needed” the abundance, I needed, needed, needed….
Then I was completely humbled last year when we were supposed to move states and it didn’t work out….my eyes were opened to what is happening in the market in a whole new way. 🫠
We’ve been flipping houses for the last 9 years but the last time we have physically “moved” to a new home was almost 7 years ago and MAN has the buying and selling experience really changed since then.
That experience made my compassion for new home owners and buyers increase as I saw how drastically different, not to mention, impossible it has become, for them to put their money into an investment like a home.
So I became increasingly thankful for the home that I have, it may be “smaller,” and it may be a bit quirky in its “old ways.” But it’s a HOME and one that I get to make my own and share with the world.
That experience taught me to be grateful for what I have even if it’s not always what I “want.”
