Makeup is an art; beauty is a spirit. I keep getting asked what my current makeup routine is. I've always found makeup to be an art. As a teenager who adored Never Shout Never and exclusively shopped at Hot Topic- my makeup consisted of the darkest eyeshadow and thickest eyeliner I could find at my local Ulta. While looking back, it was a little much; I don't regret it- it was my form of self-expression. Now, I opt for something light, airy, and refreshed. I've discovered a renewed energy for life and the beauty it entails, and I think my current makeup does an exemplary job of conveying that. While all the items I use daily are mainly drugstore products and linked in my bio under "SHOP MY FITS" and stories, I will share some tips below. Recently, I've been embracing a natural glow. I love dewy products, with a slight glimmer to them. Anything that makes me look like I did a light sunglow on my face, in all the best ways, of course, is a product I will be immediately sold. Blush. Everyone sleeps on blush. It accomplishes a grand job at bringing out your cheekbones, in my humble opinion, and leaves a fresh, rich glow. Yellow-white toned eyeshadow. I discovered this one from all the OG beauty bloggers. A yellow-white toned eyeshadow in the lid makes you appear 100x more open-eyed than any different trick in the book. Lastly- my Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit. It retails at $40, but I have used it since I was seventeen, and I hit pan every time. I've never found a good dupe, and it's worth every dime.
