Back to that Monday grind but at least a three-day weekend is coming up! I loved seeing that many of you are interested in more career posts so I’ll start off by sharing what I do! At Lyft, I’m a Security Assurance Analyst where I started and led our HIPAA security and audit program. Lyft Concierge is one of our products that allows organizations to provide their patients and employees non-emergency healthcare transportation (saves money on having to call an ambulance if it’s not an emergency and helps patients get transportation for medical care). I work with security, privacy, data, product, and healthcare teams to implement security and privacy processes that meet the HIPAA Security and Privacy Rules. Then I’ll run an audit to see where we have risks and gaps, and work with those teams on closing them. By showing customers we meet HIPAA requirements, we are able to win more healthcare customers and businesses while also helping patients get to their medical appointments!
