Finally had a chance to try on this gorgeous Aritzia tailored coat! fYi this is one size bigger than my usual aritzia size since that’s all they had in store • Aritzia Ortilia wool cashmere coat in “Saville” color - trying on xs which is a little big on me and sleeves were long. my usual xxs is available online! This is a uniquely designed and warm midi length coat with a plush, thicker fabric . The shawl style collar has buttons and can be worn flipped up or down, and there is a row of hidden inner buttons to help the wrap style coat be secured underneath the sash tie. • Everlane tee Xs - one of my go to staple tees , I size up • J. Crew slim wide jeans 24P - J. Crew jeans run about a half size big for me but I don’t mind a little extra room at the waist these days. These are one of J. Crew’s best cut petite jeans! It’s called a blazer but has the structure and the thicker weight of a fall jacket, and I like how it looked with jeans and slim pants!

Regular size 00 fits a little big on me and a tad long at the sleeves.

Trying on xxs Short in Burnt Cedar

Aritzia makes 2 coat styles in petite! They call it “Short,” but the entire garment is adjusted for shorter proportions like American Petite sizing, including the coat length, overall fit and the sleeve length. The two styles are:

1.) Slouch coat in (Re) camel Wool, Slouch coat in Wool Cashmere (may be thinner weight than the Recamel Wool one)

2.) New Stedman Coat

The Slouch coat runs very oversized while the Stedman is a little more slim fit.

I have on XXS Short in the Slouch Coat (Re) camel Wool and it’s a generous, roomy fit with plenty of room to layer a sweater underneath. Some reviews suggested sizing down.

Coat is very nice quality and truly a plush, thick, warmer coat but doesn’t feel heavy. There is an internal lining between the layers that adds extra insulation without heaviness.

• Gentle Souls by Kenneth Cole suede ankle bootie 5.5. I walk miles in these! Runs a little narrow so I sized up to my bigger half size. comfy, well cushioned and with arch support. Slim stretchy shaft with zipper is comfortable and easy to fit under pants and jeans leg openings.

I’ve owned this J.Crew icon trench coat for a while in the petite sizing, but don’t reach for it often since it hits above the knee on me and I’ve been liking longer styles.

I decided to try a 00 regular on a whim and LOVE the longer length on me compared to the petite! I’m 5 feet tall for reference. Material is structured and slim fit, and is fully lined.

• Levi’s wedgie straight jeans in “space to think” which is a grainy medium blue wash. These are TTS and my usual size is 24 x 26. Since my weight has been fluctuating I ordered a size up (pictured is 25 x 26) for more room at my waist and thighs.

Cut is slim straight, slightly tapered ankle fit. High rise but not as high as their Ribcage. The denim has a more rigid vintage feel to it, minimal stretch which is typical of most Levi’s.

The most beautifully structured, chic little black dress with long sleeves. Linked a few other little black dresses too from @aritzia #aritziapartner - the mini pleated Sunday Best Palette dress is another favorite with elegant neckline (I sized up to 0)

Sizing: I almost always do aritzia xxs or size 0 (I size up in their numerical sizing since it usually runs small!) for this, I also sized up and got a 0 and it’s slim and fitted on me.

The fit and shaping on this is incredible and made for petites.

I do have the sleeves folded under but you can’t tell and it stays out all day. This is A true shorter mini length for petites in an elegant long sleeve style. Also looks so good with a pair of ballet flats and tights

Material is like a ponte, unlined with some stretch.
