If you like chunky layers and looser silhouettes underneath, then their more popular option is the original super puff which is less fitted in the torso and sleeves.

Black Friday: Only time of the year the popular jcrew cashmere pieces go on sale! Linked the 3 that I have now on sale.

• J. Crew brushed cashmere shrunken crewneck sweater in leopard print XS. These run a little small so I sized up for a relaxed fit. This brushed cashmere is Soo soft cozy and luxe!

• Petite Daphne topcoat in boiled wool navy size 00 petite. this is a textured wool coat that is a J. Crew classic.

Note that the torso is un-lined with sleeves that are lined, and that in general J. Crew petite coat sleeve lengths run on the shorter side.

The 00P is a slim fit on me while the 00 regular also works on me but the 00 regular is about 1.5 inches longer in the total length and sleeve length with a slightly roomier fit.

This is a California level winter or New England Fall weight coat, not as thick weight as the other coats I’ve been reviewing.

• J. Crew slim wide jeans 24 petite in dark blue resin rinse- these are some of my most flattering jeans. Slightly wide straight cut, works with flats or heels or booties for me.

• Colette bow pumps size 5.5. In usually between 5 and 5.5 and found the latter to fit better. Comfortable for a heel and well made.

Trying on the Aritzia Connor wrap coat, one of their classics that come back each year. So many good neutral colors, and 20% off for Black Friday!

This is the shorter version, and I’m trying on xxs which is slim fit and flattering on me with sleeves a tad long. It also comes in a longer length which I personally like since I prefer midi lengths For fabric choices, there is melton or virgin wool which is thinner and more slim fit looking , and also wool cashmere which is thicker, and seems a little warmer with a slightly more plush hand feel All 3 of the different wool material options are linked!

• J. Crew slim wide jeans 24P - J. Crew jeans run about a half size big for me but I don’t mind a little extra room at the waist these days. These are one of J. Crew’s best cut petite jeans! Love them with flats, heels, or boots.

I got these gentle souls boots in black last year and loved them so much, I hunted down dark brown and taupe as well as my city walking boots.

Size up if between sizes. I’m usually a 5 to 5.5 and went up to 5.5 since the front toe felt a little narrow.

These have a cushioned insole, flexible rubber outsole, and a slim stretchy ankle shaft that works perfectly tucked under jeans and pants or with tights.

Note: this boot comes out in new iterations each year with a different style name, but I’ve found them to all be extremely similar. My 3 pairs all have a different style name (ie the Ella boot) but looks and feel nearly the same

I have on XXS Short in the Slouch Coat (Re) camel Wool and it’s a generous, roomy fit with plenty of room to layer a sweater underneath. Some reviews suggested sizing down if between sizes.

Slouch coat in re(camel) is very nice quality and truly a plush, thick, warmer coat but doesn’t feel heavy. There is an internal lining between the layers that adds extra insulation without heaviness.

Levi’s 40% off Black Friday sale starts today! Includes some of my absolute favorite styles - the wedgie is probably the most rear- flattering jeans I own.

Boots also 40% off in black leather

• Levi’s wedgie straight jeans in “space to think” which is a grainy medium blue wash. These are TTS and my usual size is 24 x 26. Since my weight has been fluctuating I ordered a size up (pictured is 25 x 26) for more room at my waist and thighs.

Other washes I recommend:
• “fully baked light wash”
• “well worn black” (actually a versatile charcoal gray)
• “Indifferent indigo - dark”

Cut is slim straight, slightly tapered ankle fit. High rise but not as high as their Ribcage. The denim has a more rigid vintage feel to it, minimal stretch which is typical of most Levi’s.
