I love the color and cut of these. after wearing for a while I think the version with no sailor front pocket (also linked) would be more versatile The sailor pockets are great with a simple top or sweater, but I’ve noticed that many of my jackets and sweaters also have front pockets so don’t pair well with sailor front jeans. Resin rinse is a beautiful classic dark wash and this cut is one of jcrews best options for petites - straight cut without being too wide. •My red sweater jacket is an older J.Crew style. 60% off this high quality thicker weight cotton lady jacket cardigan. Sadly another jcrew timeless piece that they’re phasing out.

My friend who is 5 ft tall usually size women’s xxs / xs petite was wearing a kids Large (10-11) in my Instagram stories. She said she could’ve also done XL for a looser fit and folded the sleeves up.

Nori is wearing kids size Small (6 - 7) with sleeves folded up. She wore this a lot as a fall jacket and now as a middle layer for winter, and it has held up well.

Since this cardigan is 100% cotton it will shrink if you machine dry it on high so I suggest air drying unless you’re intentionally trying to shrink it!

• nori also adores this metallic skirt. Runs a little big at waist so sized down to 5. it’s zipper closure and not pull on elastic.

• red sparkly shoes would be so pretty for the holidays and Christmas photos. Her exact pair is old H&M sold out but she’d go nuts for this sparkle version!

• 50% off Petite Daphne topcoat in boiled wool navy size 00 petite. this is a textured wool coat that is a J. Crew classic.

Note that the torso is unlined with sleeves that are lined, and that in general J. Crew petite coat sleeve lengths run on the shorter side.

The 00P is a slim fit on me while the 00 regular also works on me but the 00 regular is about 1.5 inches longer in the total length and sleeve length with a slightly roomier fit.

This is a west coast winter or New England Fall weight coat, not as thick weight as the other coats I’ve been reviewing.

I have on XXS Short in the Slouch Coat (Re) camel Wool and it’s a generous, roomy fit with plenty of room to layer a sweater underneath. Some reviews suggested sizing down. Coat is very nice quality and truly a plush, thick, warmer coat but doesn’t feel heavy. There is an internal lining between the layers that adds extra insulation without heaviness.

• Tuckernuck Baroque Floral Maria dress 0 - fits a little loose on me at the bodice including the bust cups and the waist but comparable to xxs / xs.

The custom baroque dark floral outer fabric is unique and beautiful, gas has a little sheen to it and it’s fully lined. Large smocked back panel for stretch at the chest and waist, stretch straps as well.

Corset style bustier cups on the size 0 is slightly big on me. The 0 waist measures 12.7” across when lying flat and it does stretch from there.

1. Blazer: Old Navy xs petite. Relaxed looser boyfriend fit is a little big on me and fits looser in sleeve width. Love the brown olive color!

• Layering tops: Gap xs petite long sleeve mock necks

• Slip dress: Quince xs chocolate brown silk slip dress. Versatile and sleek piece

• Trousers: Aritzia 0 short (“shorter” is ideal for my 5’ height). Elegant and fairly wrinkle resistant drape crepe. Looks high end and one of the best trousers out there

• Blue jeans; Levi’s ribcage 24 x 26 length “in the middle “ wash . Petite friendly. Very high rise and great petite friendly length that fits me with flats!

• gray Slim ankle jeans: Madewell 90s jeans size 24 hems cut shorter.

or I recommend Levi’s wedgie straight jeans in gray for an option with finished hems

• Black Skort: Abercrombie xxs

• Bucket tote: Madewell chocolate raisin bag. Fits my laptop and is there perfect color with a little slouch

• Crossbody bag: Polene beri paired with my own strap, not linkable

• Kitten heels: Gucci 35

• Flats: Sezane suede ballet flats 5, worn with heel inserts

• Ankle boots: Madewell Justine black booties (nice quality and comfy) and Amazon brown booties 5

• Tall boots: Schutz 5.5 (runs small in foot and narrow in calf but looks so 🔥) I sized up to 5.5. These have no zipper so are pull on and off

Trying on xxs Short in Burnt Cedar

Aritzia makes 2 coat styles in petite! They call it “Short,” but the entire garment is adjusted for shorter proportions like American Petite sizing, including the coat length, overall fit and the sleeve length. The two styles are:

1.) Slouch coat in (Re) camel Wool, Slouch coat in Wool Cashmere (may be thinner weight than the Recamel Wool one)

2.) New Stedman Coat

The Slouch coat runs very oversized while the Stedman is a little more slim fit.

I have on XXS Short in the Slouch Coat (Re) camel Wool and it’s a generous, roomy fit with plenty of room to layer a sweater underneath. Some reviews suggested sizing down.

Coat is very nice quality and truly a plush, thick, warmer coat but doesn’t feel heavy. There is an internal lining between the layers that adds extra insulation without heaviness.

• Levi’s Wedgie Straight jeans in 24 x 26, “space to think” wash which is a grainy medium blue

• Gentle Souls by Kenneth Cole suede ankle bootie 5.5. I walk miles in these! Runs a little narrow so I sized up to my bigger half size. comfy, well cushioned and with arch support. Slim stretchy shaft with zipper is comfortable and easy to fit under pants and jeans leg openings.

Finally had a chance to try on this gorgeous Aritzia tailored coat! fYi this is one size bigger than my usual aritzia size since that’s all they had in store

• Aritzia Ortilia wool cashmere coat in “Saville” color - trying on xs which is a little big on me and sleeves were long. my usual xxs is available online!

This is a uniquely designed and warm midi length coat with a plush, thicker fabric . The shawl style collar has buttons and can be worn flipped up or down, and there is a row of hidden inner buttons to help the wrap style coat be secured underneath the sash tie.

• J. Crew slim wide jeans 24P - J. Crew jeans run about a half size big for me but I don’t mind a little extra room at the waist these days. These are one of J. Crew’s best cut petite jeans! Love them with flats, boots, or heels.

I’ve owned this J.Crew icon trench coat for a while in the petite sizing, but don’t reach for it often since it hits above the knee on me and I’ve been liking longer styles.

I decided to try a 00 regular on a whim and LOVE the longer length on me compared to the petite! I’m 5 feet tall for reference. Material is structured and slim fit, and is fully lined.

• a stunning sweater knit dress with ombré colors and a swingy pleated bottom. I got xxs and it Fits ankle maxi length on me. Do not agree with the reviewers saying it’s cheap looking as I thought it looked very elegant and unique. Wider neckline shows off the collarbone beautifully without being off the shoulder. I will need to wear some shaper shorts with this one since it shows tummy bulges a bit.
