The no sailor pocket version of my jeans is on sale! Beautiful dark resin rinse

On me:
•jcrew Slim wide jeans in resin rinse sz 24 petite.

I love the color and cut of these. after wearing for a while I think the version with no sailor front pocket (also linked) would be more versatile

The sailor pockets are great with a simple top or sweater, but I’ve noticed that many of my jackets and sweaters also have front pockets so don’t pair well with sailor front jeans.

Resin rinse is a beautiful classic dark wash and this cut is one of jcrews best options for petites - straight cut without being too wide.

Sizing note:
• the “kids” size is very small and now that my kids are 4 and 6, it really only works while they’re curled up sitting somewhere. Better that they used in a stroller or as a light naptime blanket .

• we also have the “throw” size in my own name, which is a more versatile size. They sometimes requested it as a summertime blanket in their beds.

• Levi’s Ribcage jeans 24x27 in “in the middle” wash - ultra high rise and a relaxed straight leg. looks cropped on the model but is full length and works with flats for me!

• Oak and fort trench coat xxs - use code JEANTRENCH for 20% off! Very loose fit (runs big), hits past midi length on me (5 ft). Despite being big, I wear this all the time! The material has a nice weight and drapes well, and the style is perfectly effortless. I usually wear it open with the belt tied tightly in the back. Sleeves are a little long but you can use the wrist cinches which helps! I’ve machine washed this trench coat on a gentle cycle and hung dry with no issues.

• coat is a relaxed fit and can be worn open or belted. Fully lined gray texture material is medium weight. A steal for the sale price

• crop cardigan is a perfect petite friendly fit

• the solid olive brown blazer linked is an oversized boyfriend fit on me in Xs petite and looks better than the price point

• sweater dress is soft and cozy, longer midi length that’s not clingy

• little boys shacket in navy is super soft

• the girls corduroy skirt with heart pockets is so cute but too small for nori due to the sizing

dark fall work wear neutrals from Madewell.

• Essentials belt xxs. Great basic I have in black and chocolate suede

• Trying on their slouchy straight pants which have a looser, more relaxed fit. Like most Madewell pants these run big at the waist so I have them belted.   Size 00 petite measures 13.75” across waist, 10.5” rise, 27” inseam. After checking these measurements I’m surprised it’s that long since I would usually need a low heel with 27” long pants, so I feel it’s something about the cut and how the pant leg opening pools well around the flats here!

Their petites have more of a mid-high rise so if you want a higher rise I’d go with regular sizing and cut the hems. The fabric has a little stretch to it and even comfier than I expected!
