Toy organization (and decluttering, just don’t tell my hoarder son 🤪) are on my to-do list this week! Today I started with rehoming finger puppets, flash cards, puzzles, games, and so much more - moving them all from a bottomless basket of stuff into their own mesh zipper storage pouch. Now things can stay grouped together, and I can focus on having Luca play with just a few things at a time (vs. every single thing in that bottomless toy bucket I mentioned, haha). Plus it’ll be easier to find things and put them away! 👏🏼 The zipper bag set I bought comes with a variety of sizes, and they’re waterproof! I splurged on this Evereve ribbed tank back in April, and I can honestly say I’ve worn it at least every other week since then! It’s double layered, well made, super flattering, and can be worn with a regular bra (I’m not a strapless girly😅). It has washed very well, too. This one’s for parents looking to baby proof or child proof their home! 🏠 We’ve tried lots of child proofing gadgets the past 2 years, and these have been the best for us! Our nearly 3 year old son still can’t undo them, although he’s made it very clear he knows how they work, lol.

I know there are different types of doorknobs and such, but I just wanted to highlight our tried and true products in this post. If you need help childproofing a specific area of your home, just DM! I’m more than happy to help and send recs used by my friends and fam!

I got sick of the small organizers in our junk drawer and bathroom drawers constantly shifting, so I searched for a solution and stumbled upon this! 👏🏼 Technically it’s designed to keep knick knacks on shelves and tables during an earthquake, but it works perfectly for this too!

🚨 FYI: I ended up putting a large glob of this stuff in the middle of each of my bins. There was a bit of trial and error involved to figure out the right size. You can also put smaller globs on all 4 corners. Just be sure to press down into the drawer for a solid 30 seconds, and note that it can take up to 24 hours for the gel to fully grip.

It allows you to separate big items and little items, so you can find things faster and put them away more quickly. It also keeps the bin from becoming cluttered when you’re in a hurry. I found this trapezoid bin on Amazon and I love it for storing little blankets, toys, towels, etc. in Wesley’s room. Organizing closets with wire shelving can be tough, but these help to contain items and ensure things do not fall through the cracks. These would be great for clothing, too, so the lines from the wire shelving do not embed into them.

FYI: You’re supposed to use an equal parts mixture of Simple Green and water for this. I was eyeballing it and ended up using a little extra water and it still worked. All the gunk lifted great!

How to Clean Your Garbage Can:
1. Initial rinse of the inside
2. Scrub inside sides + rinse
3. Turn sideways + drain
4. Scrub bottom, inside lid, + anything on sides that didn’t initially come off
5. Rinse inside + flip upside down
6. Scrub outside sides + lid
7. Rinse + air dry

It took me nearly 6 years to find a floor cleaner that actually made my hardwood floors feel clean. Turns out, I was looking in the wrong aisle! 😅

I stumbled upon these multi-purpose floor cleaners by Bissell when I was roaming around Target earlier this year. They were over by the wet/dry vacs, because technically that’s what they’re for. BUT turns out you don’t HAVE to have a wet/dry vac to use them. You can use them with a good old fashioned mop and bucket! Who knew? I didn’t, lol! 🙃

Obviously, I bought and love, so I had to share this little cleaning hack in case y’all didn’t know. 👏🏼

If your floors just never feel completely clean, give one of these a try. We’ve tried so many options over the years, and both @dane25z and I agree they’re the best we’ve tried yet.

PS: There are two types, regular and natural. I’ve tried both with just a mop and bucket, and they’re both equally effective. I’ve tested on both sealed hardwood and ceramic tile, too.

PPS: Yes, I did eventually cave and buy one of the Bissell wet/dry vacs as I’ve shared. But the machine *is not* necessary for achieving clean floors. It does help, though, and it cut the time I spend cleaning my floors in half (at least!).

Decluttering kids’ clothes can be super emotional. 🥹 But even if you plan on having more kids, the chance of the season, gender, and sizing all aligning is so slim.

That said, I highly recommend just keeping some gender neutral newborn/infant items (like sleepers and onesies) and passing on the rest. These items can likely be used, at least for a little bit, no matter what season your baby is born in.

There are so many benefits to outfit planning, but these are my top ones!

1️⃣ Everyone is on the same page, so anyone can help get the kids appropriately dressed for what the day has in store. And they can do so quickly.

2️⃣ You’re forced to stay on top of laundry during the week, so everything can be ready to go on Sunday by outfit planning time. And if you don’t, when you go to plan you’ll be quickly reminded that you have to throw on a few loads. Better to know then than to find out on a busy weekday morning.

3️⃣ Instead of having to think through outfits 7 times, you only have to think through them once! With everything on our mama minds at all times, it’s nice to have one less thing to worry about 6 days a week.

This Amazon athleisure set is buttery soft and SO comfortable! And it’s under $75 TOTAL. 🤯 The oversized crewneck sweatshirt fits perfectly oversized in my opinion, and I got it in my true size small. I sized up to a medium in the drawstring shorts because I wanted them to have more of an oversized look. The small just fit too perfectly on me (I’m curvier in the hip area). Saw this wet dry vacuum on sale at Target, so I finally snagged it! It’s a 3-in-1 floor cleaner, so you can vacuum, mop, and steam/sanitize all at the same time!! Plus you can use it on hard floors AND area rugs. With little kids, my floors need cleaned so often, and this makes the process SOOOO much easier and less time consuming.
