My Signature Smokey Eye! 🚬👀
1. Start by liberally applying shade EE9 (medium brown) on a tapered fluffy blending brush throughout the crease. Blend, blend, blend! You can even brush some of the excess upwards towards the inner corner of the eyebrows. Leave the center of your eyelids bare.
2. Take shade EE4 (deep brown) to the outer corners on a smaller, denser blending brush. Pack this darker brown shade on the outer corners. Then blend upwards and outwards into the lighter brown shade you previously applied with the first blending brush you used. The center of your lid should still be bare.
3. Take your brown eyeliner pencil and line the outer corner of your upper eyelid. Then smug the liner upwards and outwards towards your temple. Line the upper and lower lash lines with the same pencil. Remember to smug, smug, smug! This look is supposed to be smokey, glamorous and a little unkempt. Think Victoria Beckham and Kate Moss in the 90s.
4. Smoke out the lower lash line with shade EE9 and a small blending brush.
5. Apply a cream eyeshadow or eyeshadow primer in a light or transparent color to the center lid. This will allow the shimmer shades from the Makeup By Mario palette to stick to the lid and really pop. Tap the cream with your ring finger to blend it out. You can also use a flat tip eyeshadow brush if you prefer.
6. Now apply shade EE6 all over the lid with your fingers to add some shimmer. You don’t have to be too precise here.
7. Take a black pencil eyeliner to line the outer upper and lower lash lines to intensify the look. Not on the lid. Just connect the outer upper and lower waterlines. Smug this out with a small brush or the brush from the dual ended brown eyeliner pencil like I am.
8. Feel free to add more of EE9 to the crease to pull everything together. Remember to blend, blend, BLEND!
9. Add mascara & your done! If you are interested in seeing the details of my eyelash routine, I had a video about it on my page 🖤
