H O L I D A Y / these little bottle trees are the perfect Amazon Canada find to go with your Christmas Village this year. When I took them out of the package, a few of them had a little tilt to them. It felt a little Whoville vibes to me, so I went with it, but they are easy to form/straighten.

My “Christmas village” is actually made of Halloween houses. I wanted to go black, & found a very budget friendly way of doing so. I snagged the houses in the middle from Halloween clearance @shoppersdrugmart & I spray painted a few haunted halloween craft houses from @dollaramafindsca with flat black. Love how they turned out, so I’m going to add some more next year!

H O L I D A Y / cozy winter bed styling, ‘tis the season for a ‘twas the night decorative pillow after all ✨

I added 1 9’ Norfolk pine garland above my headboard, but have 3 more on the way to achieve a fuller look. I was underwhelmed when my garland did not arrive as fluffy as advertised. I’m guessing it will take ~ 3-4 garlands to achieve the look in the product photos…BUT I’m still happy with the overall quality & price. Just something to keep in mind if/when ordering.

H O L I D A Y / one of my favorite inexpensive ways to decorate for any season, or occasion, is digital print art. I just swapped out my spooky gothic Halloween prints for these moody vintage winter ones. They were super simple to download & print. I’ve tried printing them out at home, but the quality on my printer isn’t the best. I definitely prefer getting them printed on matte photo paper @walmartcanada photo centre.

A few little tips: 1) I find it helpful to arrange the photos in the layout on a counter or floor, & then reorder until I’m happy with the aesthetic before putting them in the frames 2) this kitchen scraper works really well to pry open those little metal prongs on the back of the frame 3) masking tape works best to secure the photo in place. It doesn’t rip the mat when removing, & it comes off the photo easily as well, so you can reuse it quite a few times.
