The after school loop: 1. Shoes off 2. Backpacks hung and emptied 3. Folders on the island 4. Wash hands 5. Start homework We start this routine the first day of school so my kids are used to it! Since we do it first thing when we get home, it makes the rest of our day go smoother, rather than having to ask them to do it once they’ve settled in.
