Did you know I used to be a personal trainer? 🏋🏼‍♀️ I loved it + would consider doing it again someday. I loved working with women + groups and my goal was to make them feel empowered by their workouts + understand that lifting weights makes you STRONG + CAPABLE — not bulky & man-like. 💪🏼 Part of being strong + capable means that you’re challenging your body to push past its weaknesses, but you’re not breaking it down🚫 If your personal trainer is KILLING YOU, GET A NEW ONE🗣 Workouts should be DOABLE + FUN 💯 But I did always have one rule for my clients + myself… Do one exercise each day that you HATE 🤔 Yep, that 1 minute plank hold? Mountain climbers? The dreaded thrusters? Do them. Add just one of your most despised exercises in each day + not only will it build physical STRENGTH, but also mental TOUGHNESS 👊🏼 Being strong isn’t just for your body. You’ve got to be able to break through that mental block that’s telling you that you can’t do something.
