The dried cherries? Forget about it! So delish! Hope you enjoy this summer and back-to-school snack.
Dried Fruit Chewies:
1/2 cup dried cherries
1/2 cup dried mangos
1/2 cup dried apricots
1/2 cup dried dates
1/2 cup lightly salted cashews
1/2 almonds (chopped or sliced)
1 Tablespoon Chia seeds
1 Tablespoon Flax seeds
Pepitas optional
3 egg whites
1/4 cup brown sugar OR 2 Tablespoons pure maple syrup
Chop fruit and nuts.
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. You do not have to froth the egg whites, it just helps it spread easier. Scoop 12 even scoops of mixture on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
Bake 350° for 22-24 minutes. Allow to cool. Drizzle with chocolate and garnish with sea salted for added flavor. Store extras in the fridge for 2 days.
