Have you guys seen the “handmade” section of Amazon? It’s a bunch of really cute things that have been handmade by people all over the country. You can shop by region and by state, if you want to support a specific area. The stuff is so unique and darling and fairly priced! I went through and looked at some pieces from Wisconsin (where I’m originally from) and Utah (where I live now) and found some that I think are truly darling and extraordinary. During this time, it’s important to remember that small businesses need extra TLC. But guess what? It makes sense to buy handmade items because they’re high quality and unique. It’s worth even paying a little more knowing that you’re helping an entrepreneur during hard times and knowing it’s the only one truly like it. But also, when you own unique, one-of-a-kind items, they tend to stick with you longer. There’s something about knowing that what you have is special and finitely stocked that makes you appreciate it more, I think. And that’s a big part of being frugal: spending money on quality items that last a long time so you aren’t having to spend that over and over and over on junk that just ends up costing more in the long run. I’ve linked these cute items and you can shop them from the link in my profile or by following me on LIKEtoKNOW.it. http://liketk.it/2OQ15 liketkit @liketoknow.it StayHomeWithLTK LTKstyletip LTKunder50
