Peppermint bark is one of my FAVORITE treats this time of year and it’s SO easy to make. You can make a batch to enjoy this season or put them in jars and add some ribbon to them for an easy homemade gift! 🎁 ❤️

What you’ll need:
❤️2 cups dark chocolate chips
❤️2 cups white chocolate chips
❤️1/2 teaspoon of peppermint extract
❤️crushed candy canes
❤️half sheet pan
❤️parchment paper

Instructions:
❤️Line your half sheet pan with parchment paper
❤️Melt dark chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring in between. Watch it carefully so you don’t burn the chocolate! This is the only time consuming part.
❤️Once the dark chocolate is melted, stir in peppermint extract (you can split this in half and do 1/4 teaspoon in the dark chocolate and 1/4 in the white chocolate, up to you!)
❤️Pour the melted dark chocolate onto the parchment lined sheet pan & use a spatula to spread it into an even layer.
❤️Place the pan in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes, until the chocolate is firm.
❤️Next, repeat the melting process with the white chocolate!
❤️Pour the white chocolate over the chilled dark chocolate layer. Spread it out to cover the dark chocolate evenly.
❤️Sprinkle the crushed candy canes over the top of the white chocolate & chill again until set
❤️Once it’s chilled, break it into pieces….enjoy or put into jars for gifts!

DIY star anise wreath! ⭐️ You can use these for decor, ornaments, gift toppers…whatever your heart desires! They are SO cute and very easy to make! I even made a really pretty piece of wall art with one this year (at the end of this video). You can use pre-made wreath hoops or you can make your own depending on the size you’d like. I made my own for the gift toppers and ornaments because I wanted them to be small & I used a pre-made hoop for the wreaths I hung on the door!

Materials
⭐️Star anise
⭐️Pre-made wreath hoop or thick floral wire
⭐️Hot glue gun
⭐️Hot glue sticks
⭐️String or ribbon to hang

Instructions
⭐️Create your hoop size by forming a circle and twisting ends to secure the hoop
⭐️Sort your star anise and arrange them how you’d like them to look on your hoop
⭐️Add hot glue to the wreath and place star anise on top
⭐️Continue until the entire hoop is covered. If you’re using thick ribbon, leave a gap to tie it onto the hoop.
⭐️That’s it, super easy and so cute!

This is an easy way to dress up bottle brush tree bases! I like to use vintage wood spools to swap out the more simple bases. It also adds a little vintage charm which you know I like! This is such an easy change that I’ve been doing for years and makes my decor even more personal. I add a small piece of paper towel to the bottom of the spool to keep the hot glue in place!

I love making these charming pomander balls as a natural air freshener for the holiday season. 🍊 Their warm, citrusy aroma brings such a cozy ambiance! The cloves are not just for fragrance—they also play a key role in preserving the orange, ensuring that your pomander ball stays fresh for a long time. As the orange gradually dries, the clove-orange scent intensifies, making it a long-lasting addition to your festive decor! I usually arrange them in a decorative bowl for a simple yet elegant touch, but you can also hang them with ribbons to beautifully blend with your holiday decorations! 🎄

🍊DIY Pomander Balls🍊

Materials:
🍊Whole Cloves
🍊Oranges
🍊Toothpicks

Directions:
🍊Poke a design in your orange with a toothpick. I like to make stripes and hearts!
🍊Stick cloves in the punctured holes
🍊Arrange in a bowl or tie ribbon and hang them as desired!

DIY Pumpkin candle holders + a cute table setting for 2. Shawn and I almost always eat dinner at the island, not in our formal dining room. We mainly use the dining room for hosting. So I made this cute set up for us to have dinner when he gets home from work!

I saw these DIY pumpkin candle holders on Pinterest by @zevyjoy and I thought it was the cutest idea! All you need is a pumpkin and a carving utensil to make the holder. It’s super easy! These would be so cute for a dinner party or even a craft night with friends! After making these I got so many other ideas I can’t wait to try!!

I also wanted to share a couple tips with you before grabbing little pumpkins to try:

🎃 Make sure you’re picking a semi-soft pumpkin, I originally got 5 pumpkins to make holders but was only able to use 2 because the others were just too difficult to carve into!
🎃 Look for pumpkins that are relatively flat on the surface. If the pumpkin is off-balance, the candle will be! Learn from my mistakes LOL.
