Welcome to day 1 of designing our dream living room! I’m over the all white aesthetic, and want to add some warmth and charm to our home! I'm starting with our fireplace by spray painting the shiny gold details matte black, and giving the old tile a few coats of concrete. Next Im building a chunky wood mantle to slide right on top of our old one and staining it to match our furniture! We will eventually be remodeling this completely, but this will do in the mean time. I installed picture frame molding to add some character and gave the walls a fresh coat of white paint, then added the final touches - floor to ceiling curtains and battery candles with iron holders. Come back next week to build our dream couch!
