With a cropped jean it’s great if you can keep in mind elongating your leg - because I need all the length I can get I went for a caramel heel that doesn’t cut me off at the ankle with straps, though you do need strong toes to keep these Amina Muaddi monsters on.

I’ve also styled it here with a pretty and light Isabel Marant blouse which is nice and thin so it adds no extra bulk to the waistline but gives you all that beautiful puff and flounce on top. I love to pair blue denim with leopard - a neutral that works equally well with all denims, black, white and blue are my go-to favourites. Add a boot for a relaxed look, the great thing about the Eliza is that it is so easy to wear and comfortable but it makes your outfit look a bit more thoughtful and put together. I never worry about the length of my jeans and my boots. I just pull them on and leave the jeans where they land.

Pink and blue - I have loved these two together since I was shorter than I am now. I love a heel with Eliza (from Donna Ida) and I have to roll at the ankle four times to get the length at the right point for me. If you have to do more then fine - or if you are very tall and need the length then you can unpick the hem and release it to get you a good extra inch. How cute does Eliza look with a heel! I love the mix of a dungaree with heels, such a zhuzhy uptown/downtown look.

A pretty white shirt with blue dungaree is a bit of a classic because it works. Yee-ha girls. I team my Eliza (from Donna Ida) with tabacco boots because the shade is just that bit richer - it is the only shade of brown that I generally wear, I like there to be a hint of rust to lift it - I don’t go for flat colours. Again see how I have just let Eliza fall at the top of the boot - no fiddling just pull on and go.
