31 days of outfits in 45 seconds, that’s a wrap on the January OOTD project, and I have some thoughts! + I managed to go the full 31 days without buying any new clothes, not shopping was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be (though I do have a very full Boden shopping cart right now that I keep hovering my mouse over). + Part of the reason I think not shopping has gotten easier was because I had my monthly Nuuly rental to address any events/special occasions that I needed outfits for, like a fun outfit to wear to my birthday brunch, and fresh items to keep me from getting bored of what is in my closet. + Doing this challenge in the middle of the freezing cold winter made me realize how much harder it is to be creative with your clothes when you pretty much have to wear pants and boots everyday to survive New England weather. I did beat the boredom a bit by renting some fun winter coats, a colorful overcoat helped break up a repetitive week of jeans and sweaters. + I feel like it would be fun to do the challenge again in the summer where I could mix in more variety in the form of dresses, skirts, etc! Maybe I’ll try it again when the weather warms up? + My friend @byclairewiley inspired this challenge and a few other friends joined in @ashleymscribi @jennamdimaggio, I loved seeing their looks and you should go check out their pages if you’re hunting for more style inspiration! + Overall, my biggest takeaway was that getting *dressed* everyday was a great way to make myself feel a little bit more energized and ready for the day, especially during the winter season when my motivation and enthusiasm can really drag.
