We’re avid beach goers so I’m always on the hunt for the best beach gear, and I’ve been tempted to try out the @Shibumishade since first hearing about it! The Shibumi team sent us one to test out and I jumped at the chance to see how it worked.

My review: it’s incredibly lightweight to carry on and off the beach and I love how the storage bag is integrated into the design as a sandbag to anchor the structure. The set up was extremely easy, it took my husband and I about 2 minutes to get it unpacked and into the sand. It also provided way more shade than our old beach umbrella – we easily fit 4 adults under it on a recent beach day. We’ve used it on a beach day when the wind conditions were perfect, and the floating fabric is both quiet and kind of Zen! We also took it to the beach on a day with nearly zero wind and were still able to get some shade out of it, but with a tiny bit more fidgeting (I might invest in the wind assist clips for next summer). #ad

One of my favorite family travel accounts @mini.jetsetter shared how they repurposed these crochet cases from Amazon for a kids travel activity kit, and I had to immediately make one for our family! We had a tote bag we previously used for restaurant and travel activities and this has taken all of our favorite items from it and put them in a neat little compact case. I gave our travel kit a little extra flair with some cute patches to personalize it! On our recent warm weather getaway I found a few new fun and very packable pool and beach toys to bring along with us. Here is what I packed:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
+ A travel @hapetoys_usa beach toy set that folds up compactly into a cute little fish shaped travel pouch. I tested out tons of the foldable silicone buckets but a lot of them felt junky and like they would break quickly. This one is made out of a nylon material which made it super lightweight to pack, had little pockets on the side for shells and the shovel, and the carrying case kept sand from getting all over our bags (If you're local, I bought the set at @Buttonwoodbooks!).

+ I used a canvas-coated @lillibridge_official make up bag to corral all of my pool stuff like swimming goggles, hotel keycards, our @supergoop sunscreens, and these really cute pool ring toys that look like scuba diving ducks.

+ Another fun beach toy I picked up was a set of ice cream cones with an ice cream cone scooper shovel for making ice cream cones in the sand on the beach. I think these are going to be a hit this summer with Jane and her friends.

+ I always pack a super lightweight tote bag for an easy way to cart all of our gear, books, sunscreen and toys down to the pool and beach when we travel - this striped one is my favorite because it rolls up into a tiny little ball in my suitcase (and Target has made a nearly identical version this season that I tagged, along with everything else in the video, on my @shop.ltk page!)
