Not only is the bodice really flattering, it’s extremely comfortable. The back is smocked, so it should work for many different body types. I’m apple-shaped, meaning my top-half is larger than my bottom, and I find the tops on these dresses to be a perfect fit. In this dress with the tie straps, I took my normal size of a petite large and had a little bit of wiggle room.
