Day 3 we were in Castaway Cay on the beach, enjoying the ocean and riding water trikes. It was a fitting day for some swimwear! I bought myself some a new suit and cover up, and the kids got 2 new suits for Easter but opted to wear last year’s swimsuits so they could match.

We also wore some water shoes, which are more of a must on the rockier beaches of Nassau Bahamas.

Trick is to buy each set separately such that you can take maximum advantage of the 40% off coupon— don’t forget to clip that!!

You can also use one power brick and control device to run about 200 ft of lighting. This is an easy DOY projects especially because the extinction to jump waves and create a seamless look are all included, however we used black RHB waterproof cables to keep things less noticeable.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
We have a tradition of post-school snacks in theme on first days. I love this tradition because it brings us all together to hear about all the tea— who is in their class, first impressions, and what they are looking forward to most this year.

This year I filled piping bags to look like pencils using mini chocolate chips, cheddar popcorn, goldfish, Hershey kisses and strawberry wafer cookies. They are quite big so the kids shared one and there’s leftover to enjoy later in the week.

I usually gift some practical new and fun school supplies to have for homework and projects, too! This year Savi got smash-up smelly Crayola coloring items, rulers, pencils, a jelly case for the supplies and some lunch box notes and jokes sets.

Savi said her party was definitely in the top seven. 🤣 She’s into all the trendy tween things so that was the party theme.

We had a trucker hat bar, decorated sunglasses, and played some games. Of course things got competitive; and winnings were SM tumblers, bum bags, croc charms, flower clips, & smiley beach towels! We also did our favorite Saran Wrap ball game in lieu of a piñata. Not captured was the dinner she requested— Raising Cane’s chicken fingers, smiles fries and homemade fruit cups. Then we topped it off with SF Sherbert Punch and a delicious, beautiful cake from @bittersweetwaxahachie!

Savannah’s seventh era looks a lot like:
• Soccer & Softball practices/games 6 days a week, while wanting to spend her 7th day practicing at home.
• Saying she doesn’t want a dress and crown, then not wanting to take them off because she loves them.
• Liking pink everything, but saying the pink accents are too girly.
• Loving when Mom calls her “Savi”, but for others, she’d prefer “Sav”.
• The summer she officially learned to cannon ball and swim unassisted.
• Learning she must wear her glasses all day (except during sports).
• Enjoying music and a good a book, or pestering her brother!

It’s hard to think that 7 years ago I was in labor with the baby girl I’d long yearned for. She still tests my patience and boundaries, maybe less often, but her strength and boldness are admirable. We know that one day, when it’s time, we won’t need to worry about sending our strong and beautiful girl into the world. The world better watch out, though!

We love our Aiper cordless robotic vacuum and have been using it for 4 months. It’s on sale (33% off) for under $600 which is a great price for an in ground pool vacuum! Before this we had a dolphin and I honestly think this works just as well!

We have a 20’ X 40’ 28,000 gallon pebbletec pool and this vacuum climbs walls and cleans the entire pool. Best part is that we no longer have to deal with silly cords!
