Smash Burger Tacos
We tried these for the first time tonight & just winged it. Here’s what we did & what we learned. Leave any tips or your favorite way to make them in the comments!!
Ingredients //
- 1 lb grass fed beef
- 1 package of tortilla shells (we use the mission zero net carb tortillas. I think they are about 3” across)
- Thinly sliced Muenster cheese & shredded provolone cheese
- Shredded lettuce
- Bread & butter pickles
- Thousand Island Dressing
Instructions //
- Make meatballs a little larger than the size of a golf ball.
- Top with sliced cheese (we used very thin Muenster) & then tortilla (we used 3” tortillas).
- Smash for 5 seconds & then grill for 3.
- Flip, top w/ cheese (we used sliced provolone but will do shredded next time bc the slices on top don’t melt as well)
- Dress how you want (We did lettuce, bread & butter pickles & thousand island. You could make an awesome sauce but thousand island is basically the same thing!)
Tips //
* If you don’t press the meat super thin the tacos aren’t easy to fold.
* Shredded cheese is a must for it to melt easily.
* We like avocado oil for seasoning the blackstone.
