My no-fail outfit formula when it’s too cold to function in SF but I have to get dressed anyways: Neutrals in relaxed proportions that make me feel like I’m in my PJ’s. The crewneck tank acts like a base layer for warmth and the hint of it from under the sweater is a subtle detail that punctuates the layered look. Oversized sculptural coat to elevate the basics underneath while maintaining the comfort factor. Functional accents like an extra sweater as a scarf, refined belt to offset the casual sneakers, soft scrunchy bag to carry things with a sense of ease, sentimental statement jewelry to add shine and a personal touch. Hair back for a sleek contrast to the outfit’s volume. Red lip for a little burst of energy. Always a cap and gloves in my bag, just in case.
