Linking makeup used in this post! We’ve all been there: you roll over, barely awake — it’s 6:30 AM, and your toddler is standing there, tears streaming, demanding a waffle right this second! Then the dog starts whining for breakfast, and just as you make your way to the kitchen, the baby starts crying. And suddenly, your mood is already hanging by a thread. That’s why I swear by these 5 tiny morning habits — they help me stay grounded and focused for whatever the day throws at me: 1. Wake up at 5 AM — I know, I know, it sounds brutal. But once you do it a few times, you’ll start craving this time to yourself. 2. Move my body — It doesn’t have to be complicated! Even a 20-minute yoga session in your living room counts! I go to a gym 4 minutes from my house, but any movement helps boost my energy for the day. 3. Get dressed for the day — If I stay in pajamas, I feel like I’m in pajamas. But when I get dressed, I instantly feel more put-together and ready for the day. 4. Coffee & quiet time — I take about 20 minutes to sip my coffee and enjoy the quiet with my husband before the kids wake around 6:30. 5. Set 2 small goals — The mom-ing never ends, but picking two small tasks (like folding laundry or paying a bill) gives me a sense of accomplishment, no matter how chaotic the day gets. These tiny shifts have been game-changers that resonate throughout my whole day. I started with 1 or 2 and built up my routine from there! What’s your go-to habit for staying sane in the morning?
