Fall is a great time of year to wear a dress, and in fact, it's my favorite season to style one.

Here are four tips on how to style a dress this season:

- Choose a color palette and lean into the natural colors of fall like rust, burgundy, and brown

- Pick the right fabrics - skip lightweight materials and focus on seasonally appropriate options like denim, leather, and sweater knits

- Layer your look with a jacket. A leather jacket and a blazer are both classic options.

- Add boots! My favorite footwear for a fall dress is a pair of knee-high boots. My brown @loefflerrandall ones are always my most-worn pair.
