Today I had to attend a wake, then run errands so I wanted to wear something presentable and comfortable.

I’m often asked to come up with suggestions on what to wear for a funeral. So here’s my
go-to funeral outfit. It’s good to have pieces like this in your wardrobe because you never know when you’re going to need them!

Wear black pants with matching shoes or boots, then a nice top that compliments and is subtle; nothing too flashy. In my case I’m wearing Spanx straight leg dress pants with this sweater from Athleta.

I decided to wear booties with a heel for an elevated look. These are from Talbots.

Honestly, I don’t think that anyone is really paying attention to what you’re wearing, most people are just happy to feel your support and presence through a difficult time.

But, I believe that it’s important to wear something respectful and comfortable!
