It might be too soon, but your girl is already dreaming of the crisp spring days ahead. There’s just something about the bright pops of color and transitional fabrications that makes getting dressed feel fresh and exciting after weeks of Winter gloom (Ugh, OHIO). In preparation of my Spring wardrobe’s reemergence, I’ve been thinking about the pieces I’ll be living in and the Kate Cardigan from #Talbots is at the very top of my list. This luxe knit is the perfect weight for any spring-like temperature. And oh yes, I find the strong shoulder detailing on this ladylike cardigan to be an absolute dream. If you are anything like me, we’ve reached the point in summer where we are itching to pick up a few new gems to get us through the remainder of the warm days ahead, but also thinking about fall fashion. It’s a true style dichotomy! What I’ve come to learn in my years of exploring personal style and fashion, is that this time of the year is selecting pieces with intentionality! I’ve been wearing my classic white woven on repeat and thought that finding a fresh one with some novelty would be the perfect way to style now and wear later. I made a visit to Talbots and found a lovely updated button down full of interest and personality. For the remaining summer days ahead, I’ll wear it standalone or even style with a thin linen blazer like this one (also from Talbots). For early Fall, I will opt for transitional denim trousers (that I could honestly wear now) and a thicker blazer. I particularly love the juxtaposition of the bold color block stripe of the woven and the classic plaid print making it perfectly seasonally for fall!

Back with another episode of when I want to feel. This one is all about the dose of edginess. When I want to lean into this style persona, I opt for something black, because it just feels right. And of course, a dose of leather. To keep things Candace vibes, I love the juxtaposition of the black sheer blouse paired back to the soft brown leather jacket. For a further balance of my style, I opted for these gold accessories that really softened the look! Wore this look to my friend @caralynmirand’s baby shower and it was perfect.
