I mean, come on. Pinch me. There’s something about an open road and a field (or golf course 😂) of bright green grass that makes you breathe a little easier. It’s so important for my recovery to find time by myself to reflect. To pray. To just be alone with my thoughts and recognize everything I have to be grateful for. And my life is one of them. Sometimes, remembering back to the depths I was in during my anorexia takes my breath away, and makes me realize how truly lucky I am to be alive. Nothing is guaranteed. I’ve learned that over and over again in my twenty-something years of life. So everyday, I just try to take a couple minutes to say thank you for *right now.* And a walk is my favorite time to do that.
