Unpopular opinion. Homemade candles can have an unappealing appearance compared to store-bought ones, especially for gifts or decor. I DISAGREE! Making your own candles can be such creative experience. You can choose to use new containers, mason jars, or find some vintage vessels when you thrift to use.
