I’m always reminding myself I don’t need to buy any more black pieces, but when I see something new that would actually update my looks, I’ll reconsider. These four pieces are in that category. After saving them to a mood board, it immediately became apparent that I’m into black with gold hardware. From the subtle rivets on Bally’s mocassin loafer to the bold tip on a Khaite belt (also in ivory – beautiful!), I like the bit of flash. I guess you could also point out that my focus here is on leather. I love a leather jacket that mimics a silhouette I reach for often in a tailored fabric. It’s easy to imagine the styling options since I already have it down. Here, my favorite is a cropped, smart option from Altuzarra. Reminds me of the Nili Lotan jackets I wear a lot. Plus those knot buttons are super chic. A little extra gold on a black bag looks modern too. The ring detail (and detachable chain) on Prada’s pouch hits all the right marks.
