🗒️ Best Baked Macaroni & Cheese recipe:
1. Cook 12 oz of elbow macaroni according to package directions. Drain and set aside
2. Melt 1/4 cup of butter over medium heat and whisk in 1/4 cup of flour and let cook 2 minutes while stirring.
3. Once thickened, slowly whisk in 1 1/2 cup of milk, 1 cup of light cream or half and half, 1/2 teaspoon of dry mustard powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, salt and pepper to taste. Cook over medium heat while stirring until thickened.
4. Remove from heat and stir in 1 can of 10.75 oz cream of cheddar soup and 3 cups of shredded sharp cheddar
5. Toss cheese sauce and macaroni noodles together. Pour into a greased 9x13 pan. Top with remaining shredded cheddar and bake in the oven on 350 degrees for about 20 minutes.
