Game closet organization - Board Game Storage Ideas - Organizing Board Games and puzzles in bags for kids
You’re going to love this hack for organizing board games and puzzles!
Our game closet organization has been, well… not organized .. for a long time now. I finally decided that it was time to find some storage solutions for our board games. After searching for ideas, I decided to try using these mesh bags.
Most of what I saw online, was using these bags, and then storing the bags in baskets/bins, and that just didn’t work for us. It was hard to actually see what we had, and most of the time the bags didn’t even make it back into the baskets..lol.
So, here is my solution. I used rings and clipped them onto the bags. I also cut out a piece from each of the boxes (the ones that we still had) and attached those to the bags, this way it’s easy to see what they are (plus the kids recognize them). Any that we didn’t have boxes for, I just labeled.
For the card games, we used plastic containers, and for games with bigger pieces, we just left the bags unzipped and stored in a plastic bin. Some games have much larger pieces and we weren’t able to use either of these methods, so if anyone has a solution for that PLEASE let me know!
Overall, I am so happy with how our Game closet storage and organization came out. This will be so much easier for the kids!
