This helps keep you honest about what goes where and will hopefully keep you from sticking random things into boxes in which they do not belong. 3. Shelves. Nothing is worse than needing something from a tote on the bottom of a stack. Our organizers love putting the finishing touches on closets. It takes a bit of time, but making sure that each sweater is folded the same way and to the same size makes for perfect little stacks - which, in turn, makes for a perfect looking set of shelves! It's not just about the look (though it is so satisfying!) but when the stacks are consistent like this, it makes it so much easier to find what you are looking for.

Over-the-door storage solutions make use of often-forgotten-about space! We love it all — from simple plastic hanging pockets for shoes, gloves, small toys, etc. to the Elfa systems from @thecontainerstore for sturdy, flexible storage of things like extra pantry items, bottles of cleaning products, smaller sports equipment, and more. And sometimes these two even work perfectly right down the hall from each other as they are here!

We love the way this open shelving turned out. The cookbooks, the woven & acacia bins and the Peanuts Collection tea set work so well together and really complement each other. When styling open shelving, it's great to have pops of color mixed with neutrals as well as different textures of items to create a stunning display that, in an ideal world, is also functional!

Would you believe us if we told you this is a playroom? Because it is! Organizing shoes, especially after a move, is like playing a matching game. Find the left and find the right to make a match. Once you've got all of the pairs and lined them up on the shelf, you win! 😉

But when it's one of our all time fave (and longest) clients, we'll fold all day for them.

At first glance, it might look like these stuffed animals are out of place (but they are more than just stuffed animals!). You'll see that this is a first-aid drawer - sometimes a kid needs a band-aid, sometimes they need an ice pack, and sometimes they just need a lovie that doubles as a heating pad. 🧸

This is such a simple thing, but putting labeled bins for cleaning supplies, trash bags, dishwashing supplies, etc., under your sinks can provide the perfect solution for all those jumbled bottles. No more rummaging around to find the glass cleaner or to replace the kitchen trash bag!

Organizing doesn't have to be fancy or use complicated organizing products (like some of those 'viral' products all over socials right now), but creating a contained space for the things that live in a spot means items are visible and easy to access, and grouping like items ensures you know what you've got. The white plastic bins used here are the absolute least flashy product we use - but one of the most effective.

These built-in cubbies in the playroom were perfect for dress-up clothes allowing our tiny client to easily decide which princess she feels like being on any given day. 👸

We love the way these Marie Kondo Ori baskets complement our client's wallpaper in this combo laundry/pantry concealing items as well as creating a clean visual. The pull-out wire baskets below, on the other hand, provide very visible storage and are the perfect solution for that space in this collaboration with @closetsbydesign_nashville! We are just waiting on a few more shelves to make it perfect but it's perfectly organized right now and that's good enough for us!

Newly renovated spaces are so fun to get organized - it's a fresh start and a clean slate!

With the weather *finally* beginning to feel fall-like here in Nashville, we are working in garages again! We loved turning this area into a kid-friendly space where they can access their things in the labeled bins, play, and then put everything away in an orderly manner when they're done.

We were thrilled to be able to repurpose our clients existing shelving and get it feeling tidy with some of our favorite (and super cost effective) bins.

These acrylic headband and scrunchie holders are perfect for keeping girls' hair supplies tidy but still right at their fingertips for a smooth morning! Setting kids up for success is our mission especially when starting fresh at a new house like this one!

We love these elfa shelves for so much more than just closets! In this little guy's room, they solve the issue of where to put toys in a small space as older bungalows often don't offer the storage kids need. We love their versatility and flexibility making everything this kiddo needs easily visible and easily put away!

Hall closets are known for performing multiple functions - like this one, which is a linen closet and a kid's arts and craft closet. We often set up spaces for messy kid crafts in a place other than the main playroom areas just to keep little fingers from 'decorating' things that shouldn't be decorated so this upstairs hall linen closet fit the bill! This three-tiered cart is easily wheeled in and out of the playroom and can be loaded up with all sorts of fun crafty bits for the little ones!
