Okay I have to ask… PICTURES OR REELS? I’m so torn! I joined Instagram to share and be inspired by beautiful designs but I also love sharing the process and progress of it all on a Reel. A tiny little Addie bedroom refresh 💗Addison’s Wonderland began almost twelve years ago now with a bedroom design for my three year old and a dream to start my own company. After twelve years, an appearance on Shark Tank, my college interior design major dreams of having my work featured in design magazines checked off quite a few times, a divorce, a marriage, two bonus sons, a retail store and a whole lot more ventures later… my life and Addison’s Wonderland are absolutely nothing like I planned but better than anything I could’ve ever imagined. I get lots of messages asking for start up and business advice and although that’s always incredibly difficult to sum up, I think I’d say just be willing to work really hard and never be too stubborn to mold shift and bend in a million different ways. Let’s Chat… First, remember when this was our garage??? Yep, still is… KIND OF 💜 When John and I got married June 2021, we went round and round about where we were going to live… his house, mine, or something new… how we were going to make all of our kids feel at home… wherever home may be. We ended up deciding to make my house our home, but that didn’t come without it’s struggles. We ended up deciding to convert our entire garage into a two bedroom apartment for his teen boys. It took a “minute” but it turned out just perfect 💜 And when I say “struggles”, that also includes where his oldest told me he wanted his room theme to be a combo of a rare purple Nike Jordan sneakers, fishing, and Denver Broncos 🤦🏻‍♀️ The challenge of all design challenges! After his room went a little “viral” recently, I’ve had so many questions about his sneaker mural! I got his wallpaper mural from Society 6 but unfortunately, it looks like it’s sold out now. They do have others though! I’ve linked the rest of his room details right here…
