If you are looking to enhance your style journey, you've come to the right place! I am currently enrolled in the FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) Fashion Styling Foundations program. So, I'm going to be sharing with you what I'm learning! Here are 3 KEY foundations that I've learned so far: 1. Dress for your body type. Knowing what types of clothes to wear that will flatter and also conceal certain parts of your body is fundamental. (For example, if you are pear shaped, you will want to add dimension on top with strong shoulder tops, and avoid bottoms that draw attention). 2. Create your OWN personal style. Don't wear styles just because they are "on trend". You will feel your best if you are wearing clothes that reflect your own persona and taste. If you're unsure how to do this, watch what others are doing and copy their style if you like it. And don't be afraid to try new things! 3. Know your uniform. @ele says it over and over, and it could not be more true. Once you find what you love and feel good in, buy it on repeat and you will always know you have something flattering to wear. For example, my uniform is flare jeans, boots and a sweater. I buy these items in multiples and mix and match. This gives me a no-fail outfit formula. And the good news? Style is not innate. It can be learned! I will be sharing a lot more content and expanding on these foundations. My goal is to help you become the best, most confident version of yourself through your own personal style.
