The 3 measurements you should know when buying jeans online are rise, inseam and leg opening. The rise is how high the top of the pants will sit on your waist. This measurement is from the top of the pants to the crotch. This is important to know because this determines a high, mid or low rise. It’s based on your personal preference. The inseam is how long the pants are going to be. This measurement is from the crotch to the bottom of the pants. This is important to know based on your height. If you are tall, then a 30” inseam is not going to go to the floor. Conversely, if you are petite, a 34” inseam is going to be way too long. The leg opening is the measurement at the bottom of the jeans. If you like a slim bootcut, then you will want a smaller leg opening. And if you want a more dramatic flare or bell bottom, a larger leg opening is what you want. I encourage you to go to your closet and take these measurements on the jeans/pants that you like the fit of. Find out what you like and make note of those measurements. It will make shopping online so much easier! PS: When I buy jeans online, I always go to the original manufacturer’s website for the correct measurements, even if I buy them from a different website. For example, if I were going to buy a pair of Paige jeans from Nordstrom, I would find the exact jeans on the Paige website to check the measurements there. I have seen way too many times where the information is incorrect on other retailers’ websites. LTKOver40 LTKStyleTip LTKWatchNow
