We're going to let you in on a little secret…store things where you use them. 🤯 We know, right?!

So often we see @kitchenaid attachments taking up unnecessary space while the mixing bowl is sitting there empty. So tuck those pieces in and free up some space elsewhere!

A couple of other things that can be stored where you use them:

- Clip chip clips to your snack basket
- Store your crockpot liners inside your crockpot
- Keep a basket of socks in your mudroom, so you don't find yourself running to the bedrooms when you are actually trying to run out the door
- Keep a toothbrush in your powder bath to streamline the morning routine (again, once you leave the bedroom, there is no going back)
- Grab a little turntable for a comb, hair ties and barrettes and keep it near the rest of your morning routine items (possible a mudroom, bathroom or even tucked in a kitchen cabinet)

There is so much devastation occurring on the West Coast as we speak that it feels tricky to know what is appropriate to share.

We are really good at keeping secrets! 🤫 When @byemmakelly asked us to organize her nursery before Baby Kelly arrived, we jumped at the opportunity. The best part was, no one knew the gender outside of @adorninteriordesign. I mean, if that isn’t the most fun project of all time, I don’t know what is!

We loved being in on this secret, creating systems that were pretty in pink! Nurseries are ever-evolving in terms of where items should live - we generally reserve dressers for current items and closets for future items, but of course, it is all dependent on the space.

A few weeks back, @indymaven, @colleenhungerford and I kicked off the holiday season with the most magical evening at @foundry317 with such a wonderful group of people.

Sharing our hacks for making this your most effortless holiday yet (if that’s what you’re going for), we shared laughs, tips and gained insight on how to slow down and soak up the season. ❤️

It’s seems like each year the hustle and bustle starts earlier and earlier, and my favorite tip to share is to give yourself permission to not do it all. Ask your loved ones what their favorite tradition is, and skip some of the extra fluff. A night or two at home, with glistening lights and great music in the background will do anyone good!

We loved sourcing the perfect garment rack for this beautiful collection of garments! Client’s request was BRASS, and our requirement was that it had to nestle perfectly inside these dormers and not block the natural light.

When done well, the right mix of products look easy. They maximize the available space without looking crowded, they match the aesthetic of the home (even if they are behind closed doors), they help create a system that makes it easy to maintain and they fit within any budget a client gives us. Finding this mix of product is one of our favorite parts of the process!
