PENNE ALLA VODKA RECIPE:
Ingredients
* 4 Tbs. (1/2 stick) unsalted butter
* 1 cup heavy cream
* 1/4 cup tomato paste
* 1/3 cup plus 2 Tbs. vodka
* 2 Tbs. fresh basil or 1/2- 1 tsp. basil seasoning
* 1/4-1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
* 1 lb box of penne pasta
* 1/2-3/4 cup grated Parmigiano cheese
* 1 tsp. salt (optional)
Directions
Sauce:
•Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
•In a large frying melt the butter over medium heat. You can add the cream at the same time. In a seperate bowl, add the tomato paste and vodka together and still until it's blended well and creates a creamy like mixture. Add the mixture to the frying pan with the cream and butter then add the basil and red pepper flakes. Season with the 1 tsp. salt if desired. Cook until the alcohol has evaporated and you can coat the spatula with the sauce.
While this is cooking, boil your noodles, stirring occasionally so the noodles don't stick. When they're done, drain the water.
Finally, add the sauce to the noodles in a bowl and mix it all together. And you're done. It's as simple as that! Enjoy!
