The goal: a few days away just Dougie and I. Not for content. Not for insta. Just for us. And it had to be a quick hop from Boston, where we had spent Christmas with family. The ask? A City, nice hotel, museum, lots of walking and no list to check-off. Fashion wins were my waterproof Chelsea boots that I can wear even in Nashville this winter, and a black overcoat that’s rates to -4 F but isn’t heavy and I can also wear in Nashville mild winters. Fashion fails? Leather gloves (they are not warm) and not bringing any pops of color. By the end of the few days, I felt like I needed a fashion makeover. Comment SHOP for my fashion wins and what I wished I had brought for that pop of color. A few other wins- @mbamtl Montréal Museum of Fine Art really enjoyed wandering for several hours and sipping a @sanpellegrino_official in the cafe on site. It was all about being present and not checking any boxes @lemeac the butternut squash soup gratin was something I’ll never forget @britandchips near old town for a cozy counter service meal, they even had sticky toffee pudding for dessert @voguehotelmontreal was located around the corner from the museum, about 10 minutes from McGill University, 25 minute walk to Old Town. The breakfast was cozy and delicious. Highly recommend the classic eggs Benedict @scandinavemtl delivered a respite from a foggy rainy day. The thermal journey took courage but I did the cold plunge! Really enjoyed our duo massage, and that’s coming from a massage disliker. 😉 @ritzcarltonmontreal for afternoon tea. The 2-story salon was beautiful and the scones and jam right on point The heat! Every restaurant and venue was warm. We could take our layers off. Fail? I really hate to say it, but the Christmas market. If you’re coming to Montreal only for that? You’ll be disappointed. It took about 15 minutes to walk the entire thing. Lots of food booths, only a handful of artisan wares, and the rest looked like dollar store finds. 😬 The scene was pretty though. So if you’re just looking for photos, it’ll do. 🤦‍♀️ (I didn’t take any…if you noticed) LTKSeasonal LTKOver40 LTKTravel
