DIY Christmas Countdown Calendar.

Supplies:

Two 2” wooden cubes
One 3”x5” wooden plaque
Acrylic Craft Paint
Glitter (optional)
Modge Podge or glue
1.5” number stickers
Scrapbook Paper
Scissors or paper cutter
Foam Paint Brush or bristle paint brush

Directions:

-Paint the cubes and plaque. Let dry.
-Cut the scrapbook paper into twelve 1 3/4” squares.
-Put a coat of Modge Podge or glue on the back of each scrapbook paper square and attach to the center of each side of the cubes.
-Attach the number stickers to the cubes as follows:
Cube One: 0,1,2,3,4,5
Cube Two: 0,1,2,6,7,8
You’ll use the Number 6 side as Number 9
Optional Step: Paint a layer of Modge Podge over the cubes to add a protective barrier and shine. I sprayed clear acrylic spray paint over my glitter base to prevent glitter fallout.

Here’s a simple designer secret that will transform your flat, lifeless throw pillows into plush, chop worthy pillows.

A rule of thumb is to use inserts one size larger than the pillow cover. Typically, Store-bought pillows do not follow this rule and include an insert that matches the cover’s size. Womp-womp. So was the case with my 18”x18” pillows. I swapped the standard inserts for 20”x20” inserts for an inexpensive glowup!
