I’m saving a fortune using this at-home Madison Reed hair color! My shade is called “Pisa,” which is a level 9 smoky blonde. There are no yellow or brassy tones — and I love that! I don’t like that this brand uses artificial fragrances, and there are a few suspect chemicals. But it’s almost impossible to find an effective hair color that contains only beneficial ingredients. However, this one IS free of ammonia, parabens, phthalates, and PPD. And it contains hair nourishing ingredients like keratin and argan oil, which leave your hair in beautiful condition! UPDATE: Although I loved this color at first, it wasn’t strong enough to cover my stubborn gray. However, Madison Reed carries shades specifically for resistant grays. I now combine “Lusia” with “Bellagio” for the perfect color that hides my gray roots! LTKBeauty
