Putting a mirror behind a lamp is a little decorator’s trick of the trade! It makes a vignette look bright and inviting! This lamp on sale @potterybarn and this sunburst mirror is one of my all time favorite finds from @amazon. I’ve put it in several client’s homes, I’m so happy to have it in my own now! 😄

I was curious about the significance of sunburst mirrors, and discovered they originated from King Louis XIV of France, who was self styled as the “Sun King”. He chose the sun as his iconic emblem due to his intense love of the sun and its powerful rays. Just an interesting tidbit of cocktail party conversation for you! 🍸 😉
