Stripping the original finish is a demanding task, but it’s worth the effort for a stunning transformation! While there are various approaches, I prefer to begin with a chemical stripper. It’s a gentler alternative to sanding, especially when working with delicate veneer. Here are my steps below⬇️ 1️⃣Use Jasco Chemical Stripper (or CitriStrip) 2️⃣Clean residue with Furniture Refinisher & steel wool 3️⃣Let dry, then sand with no less than 150 grit 4️⃣Use Zinsser Wood Bleach to lighten (repeat as needed) 5️⃣Apply desired stain - I used Fusion’s “Golden Pine” 6️⃣Apply protective finish - I used Matte Polyurethane furnituremakeover furnitureflip beforeandafter diy diyfurniture dresser refinishedfurniture
