Winter is coming. Ski season is almost upon us. Discovered a great new company for base layers (new to me) called Wild Rye. Beautiful colors and patterns. Made from Merino wool. Warm not itchy. Was able to order up to a size 16 and the fit was generous not super narrow. I ended up fitting best in the size 12 pant and the size 10 top. Has a quarter zip so you can have a turtle neck when you want or unzip for lodge or apres. I liked this merlot earth tone color that I found on Sierra but the new periwinkle blue at REI that I linked is stunning as well! These soft shell stretch ski pants are the most flattering pair I have ever put on! Women founded and owned company, Halfdays, is making technical gear that’s designed for our curves. They have me as a customer for life. I’m blown away by the difference in the fit of their collection. This is my second season buying from them. There have a flannel lining for warmth but no insulation. They do have an insulated pair if that’s your preference but if you want a more sleek streamlined look this is your girl! I’m wearing an XL this season. Both straight and extended sizes of 1X and 2X are available in the brand. They are an investment but worth it in my opinion.
