📌 SAVE FOR REFERENCE! Tips for shopping blazers: 1) Unless the blazer specifies it runs oversized already, I always opt to go up at least one size (if it’s numeral sizing perhaps more) for the look I’m wanting and also for more room in the shoulders 2) my personal preference is more squared off boxy cuts (usually these are double breasted but not always) 3) Look at the lapels before buying- in my opinion larger lapels (may or may not be peaked) look more high end than smaller ones 4) Make sure the weight of the blazer isn’t too heavy if you’re wanting it as a transitional piece and depending on your climate (some lean more towards a coat weight and some are meant for warmer weather, especially when in fabrics such as linen) 5) How does the length look on the model? Remember fit models are usually tall so if you’re short like I am (5’3”) if the blazer already looks long in the photos, unless you’re looking for a dress I don’t find a longer length blazer is as flattering or versatile as one that hits around mid thigh.
