It's a classic slip dress shape with a mermaid tail at the bottom! This dress hugged me in all the right places and was forgiving in the stomach area. I sized up to a large to make the dress looser and longer on me! The medium also fit very well, but the length was more of a midi dress. I needed a longer, gown like dress for this event. I paired this with Kurt Geiger platform shoes in bronze/ gold. The wedding was in a moody, New Orleans vibe hotel in Colorado so I wanted to match the mood! Let's just call this fit the Espresso Martini! 🤎 I'm in full brown from head to toe! My two most loved items are these Lululemon Smooth Fit pants that look like dress pants! You can dress them up and wear them with heels or down. I wear them to work, going out, and as athleisure. There is smoothing band technology in the waist so it acts like shapewear. I am obsessed! I recommend sizing up one size. I'm normally an 8, but I'm wearing a 10 here. 🤎 The shoes are Tony Bianco from Revolve! They're a kitten heel mule with a pointy toe, suede, and bow details give these a country chic vibe which is trending! 🤠 I paired it with an Abercrombie puffy sleeve top which is sold out now, but I have tagged other good tops below! This Steve Madden dress is only $89 and it comes in 4 colors! This peacock blue, purple, yellow-green and black. It's perfect as a wedding guest dress! I wore it for a black tie wedding / formal wedding in Colorado. This is a satin slip dress, but a mermaid flouncy skirt at the bottom so it's not too tight around the waist. I like how it hugged my curves but then was forgiving on my lower stomach. I was SUPER bloated in Colorado that week and really uncomfortable so this dress honestly was a lifesaver for me! I think for only $89 this is a steal! I can definitely rewear this again with flats or more casual heels and throw a cropped Jean jacket on with it.
